Located at the edge of Berlin’s suburb Neukölln the 175 m tall Estrel Tower will become the new landmark and the city’s tallest high-rise.
The tower is planned as a mixed-use development with a hotel, serviced flats, offices and creative spaces seamlessly connected to the Estrel Congress Center via a tunnel. Sustainability played a significant role from the beginning; for example, the façade with fins was specially adapted to the solar radiation on site. In addition to green roofs, including photovoltaic systems, a CO2-saving energy concept will also be used.
Completion is scheduled for 2024.
The design comes from the award-winning architectural firm Barkow Leibinger and we ate overseeing structural and façade engineering and building physics.
