Publication: Floating roof in Leipzig
Two years ago, the seemingly floating roof on a computer-generated endless column for a fast-charging station was completed in Leipzig. The roof was created based on the design by ‘Raumwerk Gesellschaft für Architektur und Stadtplanung’ and B+G. Now, we have also published a detailed article together about our project in ‘Stahlbau’ (Ernst & Sohn, Berlin).
The station at the production site of a sports car manufacturer is open to the public and offers a comprehensive range of charging options for electric vehicles. The task was a great challenge to the extent that the existing technical infrastructure only allowed for a few irregular support points and support positions.
