The German Weather Service has upgraded its weather radar network by replacing the existing system at Frankfurt Airport with a new tower with an improved radar system located on the Albanusberg in Dreieich-Offenthal. The 50 m high tower with a base area of 6 x 7.5 m has a staircase and a lift leading up to a technical room. It was built in solid construction.
