Urban Soul redefines the entrance to Bonn's city centre by rededicating the urban wasteland and transforming it into an urban square with a high quality of stay and an appropriate entrance as a prelude to Bonn's city centre. The building project includes constructing a lifestyle house, a "comfort hotel", and a city office in close proximity to Bonn's central railway station.
Bollinger+Grohmann was commissioned with the following building physics services: concept design and permit planning for sound and thermal insulation, interdisciplinary component catalogues, traffic noise immission forecast, sound immission control, thermal-dynamic building simulations for summer thermal insulation and LEED certification.
