The roller sports facility at Friedrichsdorf sport parc was covered with a roof. The wide-span timber roof structure was supported by slender steel columns was developed together with the architects of STUIODBORNHEIM. In addition, an outbuilding was constructed.

The main glulam beams extend across the width of the building and are directly supported by two composite columns on each side. This creates a structural system with a single-span girder with a 21-meter span and two 3.55-meter cantilever arms. The composite columns are designed as cantilever columns and are constructed on individual foundations. The outbuilding is divided into five equally sized rooms. Both the exterior and interior walls were constructed by using timber frame construction.
