In this project, two three-storey residential buildings have been arranged symmetrically on the north and east sides of the site.
Each building consists of two slightly offset structures connected by an external transparent reinforced concrete staircase. This also serves as the primary escape and rescue route. The walls of the buildings are of conventional timber frame construction and the ceilings are of joist construction. The floors are characterised by distinctive cubes and recessed corners. These were achieved by using edge beams of the same ceiling height to support the beam layers. The edge beams are supported by cantilevered beams integrated into the wall construction.
The building units have been designed as energy-efficient houses, and each of the residential units has its own heat pump.
