The Pollmeier Group has developed a new production process for the world's first hardwood laminated veneer wood plant at the Creuzburg site in Thuringia. As with the sawmills realized so far, the renewable raw material is processed into a high-quality construction material via an innovative, industrially influenced production process.
The more than 200 m long exterior façades consist of prefabricated wooden elements made of natural-coloured larch. The multi-storey energy centre, the log feed and the technical facilities have a façade of fire-red metal panels. Slim glulam trusses span the hall aisles and enable numerous extensions inside.
