The new federation headquarters of MHK Group was built at the northern entrance of Dreieich – Sprendlingen. The GFA of 14,400 m² comprises workplaces for about 400 employees, conference areas and a canteen.
The main building has a rectangular floor plan with six floors above ground and a basement level, as well as a recessed storey on the 6th floor.
In the southern part of the site, a four-storey cantilever (2nd to 5th level) is connected back to the northern part of the building, which sits on foundations. Below this cantilever, there is a glazed entrance hall and a water basin. The northern part of the building is in reinforced concrete. The load transfer occurs through flat slabs, columns and shear walls in the cores. In order to keep the southern part column-free, two cantilevering steel truss girders are located in the axis of the corridors and connected back to the solid part of the building.
