On Mainkai in direct vicinity of Frankfurt’s “Römer” and the Historical Museum there will be a new residential and commercial building with full basement after careful demolition of this existing building. The new six-storey building consists of two building parts and has a footprint of 21.5m x 25.5m and a height of 17.5 m above ground.
The structure consists essentially of reinforced concrete. The walls were partially designed as masonry and in-situ concrete walls, the wall-like beams and floor slabs were designed in reinforced concrete. Due to the direct proximity to the river Main all building components touching the ground and the whole ground floor wer executed to resist pressurized water.
