Bollinger+Grohmann gave advice for the purchase of the highest building in Cologne through a joint venture with InfraRed Capital Partners Ltd. and the Art Invest Real Estate in the course of the technical due-diligence-check assessment.
Subsequenty B+G supervised during the requests for new openings in the structure due to the changing building services and the conversion of the entrance area with the architectural office msm meyer schmitz-morkramer in Cologne.
To better accentuate the entrance area of the office tower designed by Jean Nouvel, the existing façade was opened and a thin slender entrance portal was incorporated. The design from msm was realized by a filigree, cantilevering steel construction covered with a metal respectively glass cladding.
Due to the existing façade anchoring and the building services to be retained and coinciding with the only façade anchoring possibility below the slab, a close cooperation with the local contractor during the construction works was a matter of course.
