The 'Grenzland Wurmtal' is a cross-border German-Dutch recreational area in the Aachen region. Its backbone is located in the valley of the 'Wurm'. In the spirit of the motto 'Crossing Borders', extraordinary bridges are being built. The NOX/Lars Spuybroek office was in charge of three bridges at the Zweibrüggen, Wormwildnis and Wolfsfurth sites in connection with its award-winning competition entry 'Brückenschlag'.

The 'Klangbrücke' is a steel bridge that connects the Zweibrüggen recreational area with the Willy-Dohmenpark. The pedestrian bridge spans a 10-meter-wide road. Due to its winding course, the bridge is approximately 120 meters long. The width of the walkway is 2.50 meters throughout.
