The cabin, or the Norwegian second home, was built on the island Skåtøy in Kragerø municipality. It is integrated in the archipelago landscape and appears like a sculpture with its unique façade designed in wood.
The roof structure is visible inside and is built of glulam beams supported by slender timber columns in the façade. Cast in-situ concrete walls stabilises the structure. The structure is founded directly on rock with an exposed concrete floor in four levels.
