The new building emerges from a sloped landscape that provides soundproofing to the adjacent railway and nestles itself in the environment. The three storey building has a metal façade cladding and a connecting building provides the link between the existing building of the Christian Doppler Clinic and the new building. Green roofs are located on the connecting building to further integrate the structure into the surroundings.
The structure is designed as a reinforced concrete wall and slab construction. Parapets in the façades are used to overcome wide spans of up to 14m. A two storey reinforced concrete bridge at the southern end of the building allows for barrier-free access to the surrounding gardens and is structurally separated from the main building.
