Fire Station Pfaffengrund

The new fire station is approximately 41 meters long and 20 meters wide. It consists of a steel hall and a masonry building. The single-storey masonry part of the building was planned as a solid construction with a biaxially tensioned reinforced concrete ceiling made of semi-prefabricated parts. It has predominantly load-bearing interior walls made of sand-lime brick and a few interior columns made of reinforced concrete. The garage hall is spanned by a steel structure. In the longitudinal direction of the hall, three main girders run as the primary supporting structure. In the transverse direction, the main girders are spanned by secondary girders, which in turn are covered with a trapezoidal sheet. The foundations were laid on strip and individual foundations.
