Basketball Pole Sportica

The initial project focused on refurbishing and extending the Sportica basketball arena in Gravelines. The design featured a 60-meter hybrid timber-steel frame supporting reinforced concrete bleachers. The beam's curved shape allowed it to align with the existing column grid while widening to accommodate the iconic central cube.

However, a devastating fire at the end of 2023 destroyed most of the structure, necessitating a complete redesign of the project, now envisioned as a new construction. The central cube, a key element of the original concept, remains part of this new design.
