B+G developed the structural system of this green tower. The vertical elements (wall and columns) transfer the vertical loads on the 4 mains axis in concentric beams. These concentric beams are at their respective ends rigidly connected to the edge beam.
This edge beam serves as the place to plant the trees. The partly superposition of the walls and columns decreases local bending moments on the beams, improves the vertical load transfer and enables the transfer of horizontal loads. Their thickness decreases with the height; from the bottom to the top.
The global lateral stability of the tower is provided by the interior curved walls and by the reinforced concrete core (tube system) which shows a sufficient section to sustain under severe typhoon loads and seismic activity.
