Nicola Stattmann and Carlotta Ludig from OMC°C were invited to discuss the Vertical Urban Greening project on the German podcast ‘DDCast des Deutschen Designer Club’.
One month ago, the topping-out ceremony of the prototype for vertical urban greening took place at the Senckenberg Naturmuseum in Frankfurt. It was a great pleasure to support OMC°C in the planning, and we are thrilled to see everything thriving and growing! The OMC°C prototype is a wooden-steel construction that can be freely positioned in urban spaces. Climbing plants, reaching a height of up to 10 meters, provides extensive, shaded areas and affects the microclimate positively. The plants grow throughout the season on nets made from renewable resources, need no extensive care, and can return to the raw materials cycle along with the nets in autumn.
