Germany’s tallest residential building to date is being built in a timber-hybrid construction in Pforzheim. The residential tower will be constructed predominantly in timber with a reinforcing core as a steel structure. The core concreting work following the sliding method was realised within 11 days, and completion is scheduled for next Saturday.
The tower will be located at the edge of the Arlinger district, including a daycare centre and gastronomy in two five-storied neighbouring buildings in solid construction based on mutual underground parking.
The design is by Peter W. Schmidt Architekt BDA, and we joined the project team for structural engineering in the Design Development phase and is responsible throughout Construction Document Phase.
