After the Modernism in America Design Excellence Award, the Former American Embassy is also the winner of the prestigious Oslo City Architecture Prize 2024! The award ceremony took place today in Oslo City Hall.
Congratulations to all the teams that worked on this outstanding Norwegian project, which was developed in collaboration with Atelier Oslo and Lund Hagem Arkitekter.
The iconic American Embassy, designed by Eero Saarinen and completed in 1959, has undergone significant renovations over the years, most notably following the terrorist attack of 11 September 2001. It was closed, and the building has now been converted into offices and restaurants.
